Our educators are qualified, passionate professionals who create nurturing and engaging environments where children feel safe, supported, and inspired to learn. The majority of our team members hold recognized Nova Scotia Early Childhood Classification credentials, current First Aid Level C certification, and up-to-date Criminal Record and Child Abuse Registry Checks. We value consistency and connection and work hard to keep familiar educators in your child’s classroom to build strong, trusting relationships.
Our program follows a living, play-based curriculum rooted in the Nova Scotia Early Learning Curriculum Framework and Quality Matters. Educators observe children’s interests and developmental needs to create meaningful opportunities for exploration both indoors and outdoors. Through play, children build relationships, develop confidence, strengthen communication skills, and grow essential lifelong abilities.
Working together as a team, our educators and directors ensure high-quality programming and meaningful documentation of children’s experiences, shared through classroom displays, newsletters, and daily interactions with families.
The Daily Schedule
Your child’s day will be largely predictable. A consistent routine helps children feel safe, secure, and confident in their daycare environment. Predictable daily rhythms — knowing when it’s time to eat, play, rest, or explore — provide a sense of stability and help reduce anxiety. Each classroom will share the routine visually with children in a developmentally appropriate way. Most days will follow a rhythm similar to this:
Arrival
Outdoors / Invitations / Free Play
Open Snack
Large or Small Group Meeting
Free Play
Outdoors
Lunch
Calm-Down Time
Rest Period
Free Play
Snack
Outdoors / Indoor Large-Muscle Play
Pick-Up
Each classroom may follow a slightly different rhythm, and these schedules will be posted within your child’s classroom. Please feel free to reach out if you would like to discuss any part of the daily routine.
